Made of Eastern Black Walnut and Tiger Maple, this chair features a reading light nestled in a hand carved cowboy hat which also serves as a hat holder.
The arms are one-piece construction with hand carved horse heads leading the way.
No computerized tools were used to build this chair. It was all done by hand.

Black walnut with maple accents. For those who have never used a rocking foot stool, It's just as easy to rock with your feet up, if not easier. Rocking foot stools have been around for generations. More people should take advantage of the total relaxation it offers.

Like the title says, this rocking chair is made of cherry with walnut and maple accents. The backrests are laminated walnut center strip of cherry and maple and are thicker and firmer for the person who prefers more back support. This is a one of a kind chair because the headrest and the backrests are custom shaped.

Cherry Coffee Table Sold
The table is made from the same cherry tree and the same walnut tree as the cherry rocking chair. Can be sold as a set or separately. It has black walnut border with inlaid walnut accent lines. It's legs have turn out adjusters on the bottom to adjust to uneven floors. The finish is danish oil and polyurethane with three coats of hand rubbed wax. It measures 15 1/2" by 47 1/2" and is 18" tall. It can also be used as a foyer bench.
I use polyurethane on the tables to help protect against water damage and two or three coats of wax.

This medium-sized rocking chair is made for relaxing. Crafted from Eastern black walnut with maple accents throughout, the rocking chair is angled for the perfect recline, while the backrests hug and massage the contours of your back. The backrests are laminated with fewer layers so they flex and rotate slightly to hug the curves of your back.

This little side table is the perfect height to accompany the walnut rocking chair. It was made from the same tree as the walnut rocking chair. It has a small lower shelf and maple accents. It is finished in danish oil, polyurethane and hand rubbed wax. Can be sold as a set or seperately. Dimensions: 11" round and 24" tall.

The Tiger Maple Rocking Chair $5,000.00

This rocking chair is made of tiger maple with purple heart and instrument quality bird's eye maple backrests. The design of the backrests were inspired by the irregular shape of a tiger's stripe. There are birds eye accents in the seat and purple heart throughout. Please note the outward flowing shape of the front legs. It opens up the rocking chair to give it an earthy and welcoming feeling. In height, this rocking chair is a standard small rocking chair, but has the width that of a medium size rocking chair. The combination of the two makes for a very comfortable rocking chair, even for me ... and I'm 6 foot tall and 190 pounds!

This is an exceptionally dark walnut chair with figuring throughout. When I bought the walnut, the grain was beautiful but did not look exceptional until I started to sculpt. As with most figured wood, the figuring doesn't appear until you work the wood. It was almost flourescent after the danish oil was applied.
It was a custom order and it now lives in a beautifully decorated home.

This tiger maple and purple heart rocking chair was sculpted for a man who lives life holding the tiger by the tail. Finally retired at 77... kind of... He now has a place to hang his hat after a day of tending the horse farm.

Hummingbird Lamp
If you have scrolled this far down the page, you get to see my Christmas present from Pete. I found a hummingbirds nest on the ground when I was cleaning horse manure out of the corral. It was made out of our pony's mane. I asked Pete to make me a glass box to put it in. That was a few months ago. He's busy. He can't always get to things around the house right away. Shortly after I found the nest, Pete cut down an old cherry tree out in the corral. When we were splitting the wood, we got two naturally pretty pieces of hollowed out wood. We kept them for futre use. Our son got the hummingbird and the flowers online.
Boy was I surprised and pleased when I saw it on Christmas morning!
